funny finnegan.
Finnegan is getting funnier and funnier as the days progress. I want to
document some of these funny things he does so I never forget them.
Some, Michael and I try and catch on video just so we never forget. I
have pushed Finn's bedtime back a little bit, so after dinner and bath
we have play time with mama and papa and it's been so fun to play as a
family (or just watch him play by himself, which he is so good at)! We
love our Finnegan so so much!
he has the funniest low pitch giggle. or laugh. i don't really know how to explain it. it sounds like a goat. and if you've heard it you know exactly what i'm talking about. he doesn't even do it at funny times, it's just something he does.
lately he's been standing in place and turning around in circles. then he tries to walk and tips over, obviously from dizziness.
michael
says some phrase to him in spanish i don't remember what it is, but
he'll say it in a low raspy voice to him and finn will try to imitate it
back, which usually just sounds like a growl.
when he needs his diaper changed he runs away from me and tries to hide behind our kitchen table. he'll even try to peek at me through the chairs. and if i start walking towards him to get him he runs the other way. actually pinning him down and trying to keep him from sticking his hands in his dirty diaper is not so funny.
he does this silly smile. not teeth
showing. lips in a straight line. then he pushes his head back and puts
his chin to this chest. sometimes he'll hold it for a while and i just
die laughing.
someone
at church said he looked like a segway when he walks. kind of leans
forward and just goes for his and then will all of a sudden stop. it's a
very accurate depiction.
he has
his own little language. ga-la-ga-la-ga-la? again, if you've heard it,
you know it. and he asks me serious questions! i just wish i knew
what he was saying.
he is starting to really understand. "let's go take a bath!"- runs straight for the stairs. "time to eat!"- walks straight to the table. and the weirdest one, but one that makes this mama happy happy! "time for bed" walks straight to the stairs. and when i stand by his crib holding him, giving him my last snuggles and cuddles for the night he pushes me away and reaches for the crib. he practically dives into bed! dream child.
this
isn't so much funny as it is precious. if i am sitting on the floor or
couch he will always take a break from playing come up put his head on
my shoulder or leg and give me a quick "hug" and then go right back to
playing. i hope he never stops doing that.
i'm sure there are several more things that are slipping my mind right now that i will have to add later.
we are so lucky to have elizabeth as our neighbor. she just got a new remote for her camera and wanted to test it out. and she captured some pretty great shots of finnegan.
