summer in california and st. george. part 2.

On our way home from California we stopped into Grandma and Grandpa Hondo's place in St. George and spent some time with them.

 {we don't mind all the driving if it means we can stop into shake shack on our drive.  bless you, las vegas.}

 {breakfast on the patio.  it was pretty hot in st. george, but the mornings and evenings on the porch are divine! and finn absolutely loved playing in the backyard.}

 {grandpa hondo restored this old chevy.  finn learned how to honk the horn and got to go on a drive with grandpa.  he was in heaven.}

 {we drove up to zion national park and went on a lovely family hike. }

 {the scenery is so beautiful.  i took this photo.  proof that i can actually manage to take a good photo, much to michael's surprise.}

 {the wrap is not only good for carrying babies, but also water, snacks for your toddler, and your phone.}

 {grandma chris has the hook ups.  she got us into this super nice resort so we could go swimming.  we were the only ones there.  we had so much fun swimming as a family.  finn is just the cutest.}

 {mike kept playing dead.  finn thought it was hilarious.  ???}

 {date night! at the shakespear festival in cedar city.  we saw king lear.  we sat in an outside theater which is the closest replica to the ones the plays used to be performed on way back when.  it was amazing.  that slightly cool summer breeze that was felt as we watched the play-- there is nothing like it.}
