11 months.
My heart could burst with how much I love my Finnegan. Today he is 11 months. And in one short month we will be celebrating his first birthday. I can't wait! But part of me can because I hate how fast he's growing up. Here is what's going on with him...
// He has the cutest way of playing peek-a-boo. I say, "where's Finn?" and he puts his hands up on the side of his head and then moves them down quickly when I say peek-a-boo. He has watched me do it a bunch of times and he has the basic idea, but it's just so cute that he doesn't cover his eyes. It's like he still wants to watch what's going on.
// Cutest little scrunch face! He's squint his eyes, scrunches his nose, bites down, and shows his teeth.
// He can stand by himself for a few seconds. I make a huge deal out of it that when he falls he'll start clapping.
// He could push his little walker around all day long if he could. His face does one of two things- it either lights up with joy, or he has this serious look like he is showing off.
// Speaking of showing off, he does.
// Waves hi or bye.
// Is starting to get shy. He will lean his head against you and smile shyly. Other times, however, he will still stare at someone until they smile back.
// He totally does things for a reaction. And boy do we give it to him.
// "Toys" he's into right now consist of tupperware, socks, and boxes.
// Pushes everything around the house. Wipe box, big box, little box, block, tupperware lid, play phone. Anything.
//Loves the stairs. He will crawl half way to them, look back to make sure someone is watching what he is doing, then climb up just one stair where he will wait. He waits for someone to come because he wants to be chased. He will then start laughing and yelling while climbing super fast. By the time he gets to the second set though, he is tired. He tries to climb with the same enthusiasm, but he is just too tired. It's so funny!
// He has 4 1/4 teeth. (One just broke through a few days ago). He is learning to brush his teeth himself.
// He has the cutest little underbite (which won't be cute when he gets older) and always has his teeth clenched together as he crawls and explores.
Life is not dull with this little ball of energy. He does not stop moving. And that's what I love about him.
And now get ready for cuteness overload...
