Paradise

St.Lucia.  Oh, where do I even begin with you.  Michael studied, and researched, and did more studying and more research to make this the most phenomenal trip ever.  He made me feel so special.  Here's what we did:
After the reception we checked into The Ritz Carlton in Marina Del Ray.  We were upgraded to an Executive Suite and were greeted with chocolate covered strawberries and a congratulations note from the staff.  Our room over looked the harbor.  'Twas beautiful.

The next day was spent by the pool enjoying the beautiful sun.  And of course each other.
In the late afternoon we headed to LAX and were St. Lucia bound.

Our first resort in St. Lucia was called Anse Chastanet located in the town of Sourfrie.  This resort is tucked away in the beautiful, lush, green mountains overlooking the ocean. Our room was tucked away in the trees acting as a luxurious treehouse.  At night we could hear the rain pounding on our roof.  I could get used to falling asleep to that.

Day 1 in St. Lucia we explored a little bit, enjoyed laying in a hammock on the beach, read on our balcony over looking the sparkling ocean and had an amazing dinner with the most delicious and unforgettable bread and butter.

Day 2 we visited the world's only walk-in volcano!!  Yes, it's still active and could have blown any second.  With that said, we decided to bathe in the sulphur pools there.  The minerals in the pool are good for your skin and is said to take 10 years off your life.  We rubbed that stuff ALL over us!  We then took a stroll through the beautiful Diamond Botanical Gardens.  That evening we had a candlelit dinner on the sand.  We could hear the waves crashing and felt the pure ocean air.

Day 3: Hike-of-a-lifetime-day.  We hiked the tallest mountain in St. LuciaGrand Piton.  30% of the hikers do not make it to the top.  We made it to the top because we are Santiagos.  And Santiagos never loose.  We hopped into the taxi at the chipper hour of 6:30am.  It was raining, which turned out to be a blessing because it was the perfect temperature for this mother of all hikes.

We then traveled up the coast to the town of Anse de la Raye to our second resort Ti Kaye.  We stayed in a cottage that was tucked into the side of the coast over looking the ocean.  Nothing could be more peaceful and heavenly.  We laid out at the beach until sunset, then enjoyed a lovely dinner.

Day 4 we spent the entire day at the beach.  We laid in the sun, kayaked, and even hung out with some locals, one of which was name Lucky Seven.  Our first child will probably be named Lucky Seven.  We had a lovely little dinner on the beach and then read on our balcony for hours.

Day 5: The morning was spent at Kai Koko Spa where we both received a hot rock massage (I look dead in this picture).  More relaxing was done at the beach.  The perfect ending to the most perfect trip.

This place was absolutely paradise and I could not think of a better way to spend our first days together as a married couple!
